“Soul Detox: Clean Living in a Contaminated World”-Led by Ben and Kelly Borger: “If you’re tired of the stain of sinful habits discoloring your life, if you long to breathe the fresh, clean, life-giving air of God’s holiness, if you would love to detoxify your soul from guilt, fear, regret, and all the impurities that pollute your relationship with God, then this study is for you.” Please join Ben and Kelly Borger for this six week study based on the book “Soul Detox” by Craig Groeschel. *A limited number of books and participant guides are available at the PLC store for $12.00 or books can be ordered through Amazon.* This group study will be every Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 at the church.
The Top Of The Hill Gang–Led by Dave and Jan Nelson: Connect and mobilize PLC attendees who are age 50+. The group meets every other month at PLC. Come enjoy a Potluck – Table talk – Table game(s) – Some table and large group sharing – Present serving & connecting opportunities and more!
“Soul Focus Yoga”-Led by Kristin Edwards Brown- Soul Focus Yoga provides a holistic body & soul yoga practice for those who seek to quiet their mind and deepen their connection with Christ. All fitness levels are welcome to come-together in a peaceful, grace-filled environment. Please wear/bring: comfortable, stretchy clothes, yoga mat and/or towel (some will be available for use), water, and an open mind and open heart ready to worship! Also, both men and women are welcome.
Foundations Class–Led by Pastor Paul Church and Laura Martinez- As we all work to build the kingdom of God here at Passionate Life Church we want to be sure that we are building on a foundation that is solid. The purpose and vision of this class is to lay a strong foundation that is built on the Word of God in each one of our individual lives. Whether you are a new follower of Jesus or feel the need to gain some basic knowledge, this class is for you. We believe that God wants to build something amazing in our midst, and it starts in each one of our lives. This group meets Saturdays starting February 17th for 6 weeks from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
PLC Youth- Led by Pastor Domingo Cruz and other leaders- Middle and High School students are invited to join us for a time of hang out, connection and a message! We will hear from a different speaker each week, have small group discussion time and an activity. We want to build our youth to be an example to their friends and family by building a strong foundation built upon Biblical principles applied in practical ways. We meet Wednesdays from 7-8:30 in the lower level (West side of the building) *We also have several fun activities planned for the year!*
Young Adults Bible Study #YoungAdults@PLC- Led by Matt Brown, Brent Ausink & Megan Matthews: For the ages of 18 to 35(ish) please join us on Monday nights from 7pm – 9pm for a book study on “Prodigal God” by Timothy Keller. We’ll start by looking at Luke 15 (prodigal son) and reflecting on what that looks like in our life and then move into the book study. Books can be found easily on Amazon. Our first meeting will be a GAME NIGHT at the church on February 12th. Child care will not be provided. Come and see!
“Mountain Movers”- Led by Nathaniel Martinez & James Lobato: Enjoy the great outdoors that Colorado has to offer with a camping trip! This group will be taking a monthly camping trip over a weekend. Family friendly activities and camping games. Basic camping gear is necessary!
“Financial Peace University”- Led by Manny and Amy Mares: Financial Peace University (FPU) teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get you from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. The lessons will show you how to get rid of debt, create a spending plan, use insurance wisely, plan for retirement, and much more! Our group will meet on Saturdays from 10:00AM to 11:30AM for discussions and group activities. Each person will be required to watch the week’s video lesson PRIOR to attending the group meeting. The materials are $93/family plus shipping. This includes online videos, mp3 downloads, a workbook, complete guide to money and more!
Beautiful: Women’s Group-Led by Pastor Dawn Thurber and other leaders: Come and build community with the women of the church! This message based group for women 18+ that meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 in the Multi-Purpose room. Child care provided for 0-10 years old.
Man Night-Led by Pastor Andrew Thurber with Dave Nelson and other leaders: Join the men of PLC for a time of fellowship and discussion! Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the church! Child care is provided for 0-10 years old.
“Christ Alive in You”- Led by Bill and Daylynn Miller: Come learn more about your identity in Christ and living in the truth and victory of God’s abundant promises. The group will meet on Tuesday evenings in the mult-purpose room at church.
Mom’s Connect-Led by Lisa Kjeseth and Amelia Box: This is an activity based group where moms, usually of preschool age and younger meet and share life together. It is very unstructured as this is a play group that involve our children. The group meets at Chick-Fil-A when the weather is bad, but also meets at various parks and places around town when the weather is nice.
Lord’s Loopy Loomers-Led by Laura Martinez: If you like to knit, crochet or loom, join Laura Martinez and others as they create hats, scarves and gloves to hand out at our Christmas Outreach! Materials are not provided, but all experience levels are welcome. The group meets on the 4th Thursdays of each month at the church.
Urban Outreach Denver- Led by Laura and Richard Martinez: We are so excited to continue our partnership with Urban Outreach in Downtown Denver! A group will be going to their facility on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. to help their team serve the homeless community. The outreach includes set up, food service, mingling with the people that come in for dinner and tear down/clean up. Whether you’re a “behind-the-scenes” person or a “get out there and greet ’em” person, there’s a place for you!
Fitness and Fun-Led by Kathy Beach and Brent Ausink-This co-ed adult activities group will feature things like game nights, snowshoe trips and more a couple times a month! Space may be limited on some events!
Addictions Recovery Group- Led by Jesse Cunningham, Sarah Heiting and David Butler: This is an addiction recovery group. We are looking to create a safe, and trustworthy place for people who share the common bonds of recovery and Christ. We are looking to take on the true Freedom that Christ and recovery offer. From small class groups to group outings. We are planning to meet up once a month at the church for our classroom activity. And then to meet up at a coffee shop, or a tea house prior to any outings. Meets every other week beginning Feb 18.
